COVID-19 Information & Policies
The PRIME Research Centre is located within BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre and adheres to the safety policy and procedures in place by PHSA.
BC Women’s Hospital is currently implementing controlled access in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Access is limited to 93 (main BC Women’s entrance), 11 (off Oak Street), 97 for Labour and Delivery patients ONLY (Urgent Care Centre), and 53 (Teck Acute Care Centre). Entrance 77 (near Heather Street) is also now accessible to patients, families and visitors.
When you arrive at the hospital, please report to the reception desk, where you will be asked to clean your hands and be given a medical mask to enter the hospital. Medical masks must be worn by everyone in a clinical/patient care area, including common areas and break rooms, unless eating and/or drinking. For more information on mask requirements, please read the PHSA policy.
To keep the patients, families and staff at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre safe and in keeping with the provincial health officer’s recommendations for physical distancing, we are limiting the number of visitors entering our buildings. Only 1 accompanying person per participant is allowed into PRIME during the research appointment.
For safety reasons, children are NOT permitted inside the PRIME area.
